Today marks the end of our Pre-Alpha test— as we look forward to our new season, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what we’ve accomplished.
Delysium, the world’s first playable AAA blockchain game, opened up playtests to a small cohort of our most highly engaged community members. This Pre-Alpha phase of testing was initiated to collect feedback on the fundamental systems of Delysium, while allowing a first look at the implementation of our game technology to our community and the public at large. Players have been able to enter the arena and test features like customizable avatars, block-wide urban combat, and destructible environmental assets.
Listening, Learning, Connecting
Beyond the realm of Center City, the Delysium team is actively working to create fun and memorable experiences to spread the word about us. We’ve already met with Delysians across the world! Here are some of our favorite moments:
NFT NYC Cruise Party
Our NFT NYC afterparty transformed a NY staple, Pier 17 boat parties, into something out of this world. 300 guests were ushered into an entirely Delysium-branded experience. The “Interoperability is the new Freedom” could not have been possible without the support and attendance of our many, and dedicated partners. You can read more about the event here!
Skin in the Game
Speaking of partners, thanks to the help of our friends Mad Monkey Guild, we were able to bring Delysium to some of the strongest gaming guilds in Vietnam. We were able to connect with both web2 and web3 gamers and share the vision that Delysium aspires to achieve, as well as give them a chance to try out the game hands on! It was thrilling and validating to be able to discuss with so many eager players what we hope to accomplish. It was also an incredible opportunity to chat directly and receive invaluable feedback. Read more here!
Discord Community Events
Our community team had so much fun putting on a wide variety of events for the members of our Discord. Of our most active players, more than 30% received rewards! While not all of them are pictured above, these are a few of the events that we really enjoyed. We also learned a lot about the types of events that spark the most engagement and excitement in our community. We hope you all will keep joining us for these in our new season!
Live from Center City
Lastly, we’d be remiss not to mention how many incredible individuals, teams, and projects we have been able to connect, collaborate, and grow with. In this Pre-Alpha test, we brought you the voices of creators, gamers, entrepreneurs, and other incredible and exciting projects. We look forward to continuing to foster interesting and diverse discussions through live mediums like our Twitter spaces, community AMAs, and live streams!
Diving Deeper into Delysium
Inside Delysium world, in a manner speaking, the team has been hard at work improving and refining the core gameplay mechanics that serve as the Delysium’s foundation. At a glance, the team resolved 867 bugs! You can read the full descriptions and patch notes for our updates in our Discord. Here is a quick glimpse:
Player Locomotion Fixes
Breakable Part Fixes
One that stood out in our playtesters right away was that movement for our player models felt clunky and could be obstructed in ways that broke player immersion. There is more fun to be had with the Breakwall Feature. The players will, however, get stuck in the wall, which is painful. The problem has been fixed in a later version. We are thrilled to say we’ve made great strides in refining player movement, and look forward to continued efforts to make gameplay feel smooth and seamless.
Added Content
You might have noticed some new fixtures pop up around Center City lately— we have been hard at work implementing new customization options, purchasable items, in-game rewards, and more! Stay tuned for further improvements as we move into our new season!
Q&A with Some Delysians
One thing we can’t thank our community enough for is the sheer amount of valuable feedback, ideas, and time you all have contributed. There have already been more than 5,500 matches played in the six-hour playtest windows we’ve offered each week. We have made a habit of touching base with our most engaged users early and often, and this has led to some incredible collaborative efforts to improve the engagement and health of our community. To wrap up this Pre-Alpha test, we’ve asked some of these players a handful of questions. We’ll let you read their responses for yourself:
Q: How would you describe the difference between Delysium and other games that you play?
A: “A beautiful and punk style that other games don’t have that much”
“More of a futuristic… cyberpunk style of gameplay”
Q: Are you more motivated to play Delysium for earnings or entertainment?
A: “I think Delysium would have caught my eye even without money”
“The team is listening and bringing the project to life”
“I’m proud to be one of the first play tester[s]”
Q: What is your favorite feature or aspect of playing Delysium?
A: “Being able to destroy the walls…coupled with the power of detection”
“The collection of NFT guns, I collected a lot and I’m excited to try them in-game”
Q: How user/beginner-friendly do you feel Delysium is?
A: “It is not hard to learn the movements…you can learn how to use the keys needed in-game”
“You to meet a lot of people, for the moment it is difficult to attract the attention of a player without shooting”
Looking Forward
We’re thrilled to say as a team, we have learned a lot over the course of this Pre-Alpha test about building a game and a strong community around it. However, this phase hasn’t been without its challenges, either. We sat down as a team recently to consolidate a list of our most valuable learnings and takeaways — both in areas where we feel we’ve excelled, but also in the places where we see room for growth. Here are our top learnings to double down or improve on:
- Double Down
- Providing engaging and fun community events regularly
- Creating pathways to earn rewards in and out of game
- Improve
- Social interaction for players in-game
- Deployment of new in-game content/mechanics
It’s been a genuine pleasure getting to connect with all of our players and community members. We are thrilled with where we stand in one Pre-Alpha test into Delysium and we can’t wait to propel forward into the next, armed with these insights. We hope you’ve enjoyed the Pre-Alpha test of Delysium. There’s so much more to come and we can’t wait to experience it with you together. Welcome to join our Pre-Season on October 1st!
Until then, we remain

The goal of Delysium has been to construct a virtual world where 1 billion individuals and 100 billion AI Virtual Beings coexist on blockchain.
These virtual natives can be not only the digital version of ourselves but also our companions and Non-Player Characters (NPCs) shuttling across diverse scenarios including games, communities, media platforms, and more.
In Delysium, everyone can create their own AI Virtual Being and gradually develop their personalities and capabilities. Besides playing games with them, players can interact with their AI Virtual Beings to learn about crypto, check & trade crypto assets, discover crypto opportunities, and get warned ahead of the risks through natural language conversations.
Moreover, powered by the decentralized game publishing structure, an increasing number of games with customized tokenomics and on-chain assets (such as NFTs or tokens) will be connected, and that will gradually make the AI-Powered Virtual Society more prosperous.
As of now, the AI Virtual Beings are available to use on Delysium official website, and Delysium is the first playable game with AAA-quality that has been listed on Epic Games Store.
